Holiday Time!
Baking, shopping, anticipation and preparation for a few days where the busyness of life stops and we EAT! Yes yes, we spend time with family and friends, and EAT! I'm deep into all fun things on these short days of the year, hustling to the bustling shops, baking up a storm in my messy kitchen, and feeling extra sluggish in the dark dark mornings and even more sluggish on the trainer in the dark before supper.
My power to heart rate ratio ( yes I care about such things) is telling me what I already know....I'm tired. How can this be my training has been going along swimmingly, three weeks of new workouts, since the hand injury put the halt to the strength training I was doing, so back onto the trainer for LBP intervals, long endurance type work.... Numbers were looking good and then poof, can't hold the watts, sleep if I sit down and I gotta say a little less umph than optimal. So rest. That's is , yes, rest.
Resting equals recovery equals opportunity to build...it will be all better in the end. For the addicted less is more is a hard prescription to follow....so it's kinda handy that the holidays are approaching.
