The events just keep on coming!!! Our race team is really making a big splash this year with competitive placements and tons of fun. We've had four of the six Ontario Cup races for the season put on by Chicoracing and Pulseracing 's Trek Canada Cup aka Ocup 3. These two organizers really do put on fabulous events. Next up is Sudbury! July 8th ROAD TRIP!!!
We have started our exploratory roving Milton chapter, we've been to Kelso, the Agreement Forest and this week we're headed to Puslinch lake trails with a social to follow, all WildBetty members are welcome at all of the rides.
Three of our Bettys; Rachael, Wendy and Christie, are in the final preparations for the BC Bike Race...we wish them the best of luck for the first week of July. It is a truly epic event. I competed in the 2011 Race, as did Christie, with Steve Neal as team WildBettys. Check out WildBettys YouTube home movie style video from last year's race. Can't wait for the ladies come back with lots of pictures and stories to share.
This weekend is another event filled one with the Toronto Mountain Bike Festival on Saturday and the New L2L 29er on Sunday, we've got Bettys from near and far entered in the ALL NEW Lake to Lake, Melissa is up from California and our keen racers Sarah and Rachael are entered.
Come join us on Saturday. If you have been at all hesitating about the Don, wondering what it is all about but haven't had the chance to check us out...this Saturday is your opportunity. Free guided rides, free Sacred Rides clinics, free Donny Drag race, Loblaws BBQ and raffle with great giveaways all in celebration of our fabulous urban trail system here in the City. Come out and say hi, we'll be there!! 11 to 4 pm Redway Loblaws TrailHead you know, our usual ride meeting place ;)
