So we've had three rides in Toronto, including a beginner ride, two rides in Milton, two Ocup races at Mansfield for our race team (Welcome Lisa!!) and Woodnewton (Congrats Sarah!) and a Learn to Race Clinic at Albion and we are only 3 weeks into our club's 'season'...I have so many photos and video footage that I wish I had a few hours to devote to posting it all to communicate to you how truly fabulous our season is so far.
Communication is the key...I can tweet, I can FB, I can Blog (check), I can newsletter, I can email, I can youtube and finally I can text you...some of these are linked, most not...there just are not enough hours in the day to allow me to make a decision which to do, let alone actually do any of them! I might be a little overwhelmed to say the least, but the sentiment is: I sooo want to share with you, did you get my message? It used to be back in the day, (back in the day of my gold CCM banana seat bike), that, I'd phone you, no answer, no problem, I'd go knock on your door, no answer, no problem, I'd go riding and come back later, now I send out a broadcast message and hope you get it. When you 'like' my photo, 'retweet' my tweet, reply to my thread on the forum, text me, or show up for the ride, then I know you got it!!
I'm in Tremblant for tomorrow's first Canada Cup of the season with my feet up pre race, and berry tethered to my old laptop...here's a sample pic from the course.
I know things are going well as I heard independently from two people, who spent some time together, that they both had a ton o' fun. I've heard our leaders are enjoying leading, and our riders are enjoying the ride, our racers are racing well, our coach thoroughly enjoyed teaching the group and our participants learned a lot and enjoyed the day at our first Learn to Race Clinic of the Season. My concern is to ensure that no one misses out on the fun because they didn't get my message.
