It's April ! So many choices now the season is upon us. This blog has become an information source rather than a place for stories I hope it's helpful. Once the season gets under way and our members. get all signed up these informational bits can be shared on the forum, but for now I don' t want anyone to miss out.

Our calendar pages have lots of details about many of the events available
in addition to our Betty events. We need to confirm numbers for some
of those dates for our sponsors and others so have a look at the Calendar, and let us
know if you have any questions about our rides, or clinics or race events or festivals
the Betty's will be at in 2012.

Our rides will start on Tuesday May 1st in Toronto and Thursday May 3rd in Milton.
Toronto rides will be weekly and Milton biweekly. Details and map links are on the ride page.
The first Tuesday of the month we will offer a beginner group; we always break into a 'Wild' and a 'Betty'
Group for rides, but the first Tuesday throughout the summer will offer a truly beginner
group.....so there's no excuse, come on out and join us.

Sunday April 29th is the first OCup race of the season at Mansfield Outdoor Center and is sure to be a great day.
We are very excited about our learn to race clinics for 2012, especially our first free clinic, May 9th at
Albion hills, just for members. A truly exceptional offer from Steve Neal Performance.

Trail advocacy is a very important part of any mountain biking club's activities and Wild Bettys
is no exception. We are planning our third annual trail building day
In Crother's woods in the Don, on July 14th. This fun day will be led by the City of Toronto and IMBA. Save the Date!
10 to 14 people would be ideal and companions are more than welcome.

On a celebratory note, there are the two mountain bike festivals planned for the season,
June 16th in Toronto and an exciting two day IMBA Ontario event the Trailblazing Festival at Hardwood Hills
and Horseshoe Valley Resort August 18/19. Save the Date!!

If you can't make our Sign Up and Social, we will miss you, but rest assured you can still join on line and come out to our rides!
The new system through the Ontario Cycling Association and CNNbikes makes for streamlined processing of our club and member insurance. Any questions or concerns please don't hesitate to contact us.

Ride On!
Melinda
