The fall has been fabulous, we got our lights and the weather has cooperated with some wonderful night-time Betty rides and the weekend days have been spectacular.
Our potluck meeting went well…thanks to all who came…it’s been two weeks and I have a pair of bike shoes that no one has claimed yet….ah ha! that’s one Betty who has been too busy to be riding.
It can be hard to make time in our lives to ride, unless you are addicted and then it’s hard to find time to get the to-do list completed…though I find things like cleaning and shopping and bill paying tend to just stay on the list whether I get a chance to address them or not 
. That’s why having a commitment to meet up with others is so helpful for those un-addicted amongst us. We will be continuing our Tuesday rides as long as this weather allows us to. The Don trails can get really wrecked if we ride when it’s wet. It was very special to take some of the Bettys to see the work we did on our trail build day with IMBA and the city….I can’t wait till our next build, it is just so rewarding. Now is the time for date setting for 2012. There are so many events it’s just staggering and impossible to attend them all. Our calendar has the events that have published dates for 2012 and we will fill it in as we get more. Our sign up and social will the last Tuesday in April and our rides will start up Tuesday, May 1, 2012. Consider this your 'save the date' card. We have an exciting new addition for 2012 : a west GTA chapter which will host rides at Kelso and other west-end trails….check back for details.
Over the winter we will be training, crosstraining, socializing and we will try to get out on the trails…check out a video on the club rides page from winter 2011 that I made with some friends who love to ride in the snow!!! Beautiful, crisp, sunny, snowy days… they’re a’comin'!!!
