HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!!
It has been a very full end of the old year and beginning of the new year for me...I certainly hope everybody reading this was able to have a peaceful holiday and was afforded time to spend with family and friends and I wish you all the best for the new year.
I can confidently say that 2011 is going to be a great year for the Wild Bettys. We have formed some great partnerships with our 2011 sponsors. We will be having our weekly rides this year and we will be adding in monthly beginner rides, and of course we will continue to have our weekend destination rides and social events.
We have a learn to race clinic series provided by Steve Neal Performance for the speedy ones among us. As a special introduction to the program, Steve will be offering a one time free clinic, January 22, 12-2pm. Check the forum for details. We are also very pleased to announce a special Stott Pilates group class program arranged for members, which is sure to be a hit later in the winter.
We will be holding our April 26 Sign Up and Social this year at Sport Swap on Bayview Avenue, as we form a new partnership with a great little neighbourhood bike shop. In addition, we are pleased to tell you about the addition of Rachael Mirvish to our race team. She is both an accomplished racer and a coach/instructor and along with her husband, Brad Hunter from The Epic Ride Bike shop in Orangeville they will be invaluable resources for the Bettys.
We have received funding and support from a number of exciting
organizations this year including the new venture called
BestLIfeRewarded, a health adherence loyalty program which we are keen to support.
There are so many things going on right now behind the scenes to ensure the Wild Bettys members have a memorable 2011 season, you might think there was no time for riding....but no there's always time for riding, it's the blogging that gets left undone!!! My apologies for the month long interval...rest assured we will have lots to talk about now that the new year is here....first order of business...our kit fitting soiree this weekend...Hope you can come, check the forum!!!
